Lactic Acid is the most moisturizing of all the fruit acids. It is gentle but has great exfoliating effects without drying the skin. 85% is the strongest available and can be diluted to a milder concentration with distilled or ordinary tap water. See our combo peel with malic acid, these fruit acids have a synergistic effect, helping each other to penetrate and rejuvenate the skin.Can be used 2 to 3 times weekly.This Lactic acid is 85% with a pH level of .28, we also have Lactic acid 85% with a pH level of 2.0 and 50% Lactic with pH levels of .28, 1.0 or 2.0 The higher the pH level, the less irritation. It is a great effective product if used properly. I offer Lactic in many strengths and pH levels, in my own practice I have found the lower pH levels to be more effective. The pure Lactic 85% pH .28 works well but should only be left on the skin for a maximum of 3 minutes, 1 or 2 minutes gives great results too. I have also found that any pH above 2.5 yields minimal results.Even at the lower percentage and higher pH NEVER leave it on for longer than 5 minutes !! It is better to use it more often for shorter timing periods than to overprocess your skin !! This acid is not meant to cause a burn, it is used for gentle exfoliation and its moisturizing and rejuvenating properties. Please follow the instructions for best results.
